The not so floating market......

Hello Everyone!!!!
Khazna found an ad in the paper the other day advertising the “Floating Market”. We had been planning to go see it before we left but since it’s a bit of a distance we had decided to wait until we could make an entire day of it. The advertisement she found though was for bus fair to and from a closer location and only for a limited time. We thought…why not? So after talking calling the number on the ad and then talking to the concierge, we discovered that to get to this location, we would not have to pay for the bus because there was a free shuttle boat to the location listed at the station about 10 minutes walk away. They explained to us at the desk that this was not the “real” floating market but they had brought in vendors for this event. We decided to go ahead because we really just wanted to see what a floating market was like. Soooo….off we went. We just missed the boat and had to wait for another (they run every 30 – 40 minutes) but eventually we were on our way. The shuttle boat ride was pretty short; it only took …maybe 20 – 30 minutes to get to the stop. “River City” the sign said. It looked like a department store. We were a bit confused but we went in anyway. Come to find out…..this was an expo of vendors from the floating market. Inside there were several little kiosks set up with vendors….nothing floating at all. There were some nice shops and I did pick up a few gifts but we still haven’t seen the illusive floating market. We’re thinking….maybe we’ll just make that day trip to the “real” floating market after all. I hope to talk to you all soon!!!!
Yours in Dance,
Sabrina
